CAN I INSTALL A CONVERTIBLE TOP ON MY CAR?  Replacing a convertible top is not rocket science, but it does take average or a little better than average mechanical ability.  Can you install a convertible top without professional skills?  Of course.  However, if you have problems, they will usually be related to your lack of experience working with fabric and vinyl.       The nuts and bolts part of the installation is pretty straightforward and within the grasp of most average do it yourselfers.   Different years/makes/models have particular characteristics, making it imperative that one have quality instructions.  Our videos provide step by step in depth instructions in great detail.  Installing a convertible top is not like installing an wheel or intake manifold.  These items are bolted in place and they stay there.   A convertible top, because it is made of a flexible material, is more like working with body putty.  As we know, anybody can install body putty and paint a car, but how nice it looks is directly related  to the care and patience that you provide.  A convertible top is like that.  The installation area must be above 70 degrees F.  Convertible materials get more difficult to work with as the temperature falls below 70 degrees.  To help the first time installer, AOK Sales, LLC has compiled a library of installation DVDs.   We video tape an experienced installer, add still pictures, written instructions and a voiceover to provide thorough and detailed instructions.  If you are in PA and need a top installed, take a look at this page for a free top.  We may install it for a significant savings if we don't already have it on tape.     Privacy Policy     Contact Us
